While there are many Reference Managers available, the Levy Library supports EndNote, Zotero, & Mendeley. All three programs provide a place to store references, as well as a Microsoft Word plug-in so that you can easily insert formatted citations as you type. We recommend using this comparison chart to select a tool. Major differences between the programs include cost and storage size.

Once you select a reference manager, feel free to use the information provided here to acquaint yourself with the software. You may also wish to schedule a consultation with a librarian. A librarian will meet with you to show you how to import citations into the software, how to organize your "library," and how to take advantage of the Word plug-in. Use the form at the bottom of this page to send a message requesting a consultation, or to ask for more information on selecting a reference manager.
